Birmingham Landlord and Property Manager Termite Checklist
Name the authorized contact
Give the provider the property address, building use and person who can approve access and work. A tenant reporting insects may not be able to authorize treatment of a shared structure. Set out who receives the findings and who coordinates occupancy arrangements.
Describe all relevant structures
List attached and detached buildings, shared spaces and inaccessible areas. Explain where signs appeared and whether they affect one unit or several locations. Inspection of one accessible room cannot establish the condition of every unit or hidden structural member.
Separate termite work from routine pest service
A general pest subscription may exclude termites, wood-boring insects or structural repairs. Ask for the target pest, inspection method, treatment plan and continuing obligations in writing. Do not assume the name of a broad commercial programme establishes termite protection.
Maintain a usable record
Keep treatment diagrams, service reports, agreements and renovation dates together. Record the provider responsible for stations or previous applications. Tell that provider before foundations, paving or landscaping are changed, and clarify any work that falls outside the existing contract.
Read commercial termite control, inspection and bait-system servicing. Call (323) 689-7617 with the exact location, evidence and access requirements to discuss availability.
